The client was unable to sell their house because of a major weed problem in the corner of the back yard right off the sunroom. It was an eyesore that was regularly noticed by potential buyers. Replacing a “weed bed” with a planting bed can present major problems in the future with weed control. A weed barrier was laid to prevent these weeds from coming back and retard the growth of any future weeds. The design incorporated plants of various heights and textures to add interest and depth to the space. The yellow-banded blades of the zebra grasses in the back will create a dramatic backdrop for the azaleas and low growing junipers come spring time while giving an airy appearance to the space. The final product created a great view as you came out the back door as seen here and even better view from the sunroom.
